Disney World Essentials
This is a little more detailed version of what to pack, including my recommended brands and products:
1. Comfortable Walking Shoes
The amount of walking you do at Disney World is absolutely insane.
That’s why I always have On Cloud 5s or On Cloud Monster 2s on my feet at the parks.
2. Refillable Water Bottle
I’m not tryna pay $4 a bottle so that’s why I prefer to have my own Hydroflask with me at all times.
3. Park Bag
Some days, you just need to carry a few more items that won’t fit in your pocket.
That’s why I always opt for a bum or belt bag to store a few essentials.
4. Water Flavor Drops
Florida water does suck so if drinking it grosses you out, a few drops of a Mio or even a packet of Liquid IV goes a long way.
5. Portable Battery Fan
I will never leave house without one, especially during the summer.
6. Portable Battery Charger
My phone loves to die quickly with all my videos and photos. That’s why this magnetic charger by Anker is a God-send.
7. Hand Sanitizer
I never realized just how nasty everything and some people can be until Covid hit.
8. Poncho
I very rarely bust out my poncho but there are times when the rain gets so bad and the wind is whipping so much that an umbrella just doesn’t cut it.
9. Chub Rub
Chaffing sucks. This helps.
10. Pepto Bismol
I eat so much at Disney that sometimes I stomach gets mad at me. That’s why I pop these like candy.
11. Chapstick
Can’t leave home without it or else I go crazy. It’s a sickness.
12. Travel Sized Shampoo and Soap
I’m probably the only person that uses the free hotel soaps (as long as they’re not refillable). But I always keep a backup in my hygiene kit.
13. Apple AirTag
I throw one in my checked luggage, stroller, and even kid.
14. Sunscreen
Gotta protect your skin from that Florida sunshine because it does get pretty intense.
15. Toiletries
I won’t go into detail about everything you should bring, but just don’t forget your toiletries and cosmetics.
16. Feminine Hygiene Products
17. Trading Pins
Bring some cheap pins to trade for some cool ones with Cast Members.
18. Pennies and Quarters for Pressed Coins
Although most machines will provide you with the penny, some are still old school and takes coins.
19. Tide-To-Go
A life saver, especially with a kid. Don’t forget to bring a pack with you!
20. Parade Mat
This may be a niche product but sometimes you just don’t wanna sit directly on the nasty ground.
21. Packing Cubes
I like to think I’m an all-pro with the amount of clothes I can fit in these.
22. Travel Docs
Don’t forget the boarding passes, hotel confirmation numbers, passports, driver licenses, etc.
23. Kid Stuff
This is pretty vague but this is a reminder to pack toys, blankets, swim suits, ipads (with chargers), etc.
24. Charging Cables
iPad, phone, camera, and other tech chargers and cables.
25. Diapers
Disney will always sell diapers but it may not be your brand.
26. Cash
You really won’t need it except for tips but it’s still nice to have a few bucks on you at all times.
27. Stroller
I couldn’t imagine a Disney day without it.
28. MagicBands
Although not as popular as before, it’s still the easiest way to scan into the park or check in for Lightning Lanes and Single Passes.
29. Autograph Book with Clickable Sharpie
Bring your own autograph book with a clickable sharpies to see how many of your favorite characters you can meet to fill up the book with.
30. Gum
You’ll never find it on Disney property.
Park Bag Packing List
I go into a lot more detail about my park bag essentials in this article, but here’s the Spark Notes version.
- Sunscreen for the Florida sunshine
- Battery operated handheld fan because it gets nasty out there
- Hat
- Sunglasses
- Portable batter charger for the phones and camera
- Hair ties
- Deodorant to stay smelling fresh
- Travel–sized cologne or perfume
- Trading Pins if that’s your thing
- Refillable water bottle
- Poncho for those freak thunderstorms
Outfit Packing List
Comfort is king at Disney World.
1. Comfortable Shoes
You’ll probably be walking A LOT.
Don’t worry about stylish shoes. Just get something extremely comfortable that you won’t mind standing in all day.
2. Sunglasses
Gotta protect those eyes from those UV rays.
3. Hat
I never leave home without out.
4. Swimsuit
A necessity if you want to check out the two Disney water parks or even hotel pool and hot tub.
You’ll even need this for any spa days too.
5. Nice Outfit
If you plan on eating at a Signature Restaurant, you’ll need a nicer outfit.
Believe it or not, I get by with a t-shirt and nice dressy sneakers. But at Victoria and Alberts, you’re gonna have to go all out.
6. Gym Clothes
I’m a firm believer in only wearing gym clothes to Disney.
7. Small Bag
I always gotta have a small belt bag or bum bag on me when I plan on being at the parks for a while.
