Yes, Disney World accepts cash at all of their parks, resorts, stores, restaurants, Epcot festival booths, snack carts, and ticket offices.
Do you need to bring cash to Disney World?
That’s totally up to you.
The main reason’s you’d want to bring cash is for timing the valet, bellhop, or housekeepers.
I can’t remember the last time I used cash at the parks mainly because I love using my travel credit card to get the points.
Also, you can use travelers checks, but that will require you to show your photo ID when used.
Apple Pay at Disney
You can use Apple Pay at almost every Disney World store and quick service or snack location within the parks as well as at the Disney resorts.
The fact that there are so many non-cash payment options offered at Disney such as Apple Pay or even Magic Band payment, there really isn’t a need to use cash. The only exception is if using cash is a great way for you to stay within budget, which I totally get.
ATMs at Disney
There are ATMS located at all four parks and every resort. Currently, they accept cards from MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover, Cirrus, and Plus.
Currency Exchange at Disney World
If you need to exchange foreign currency to US dollars, you can do so any any Disney Resort and guest relations offices inside the theme parks.
