In order to break even on your WDW Annual Pass purchase, here’s how many times you need to go to Disney World in one year.
Getting Your Money’s Worth on an Annual Pass
In order to get your money’s worth, here’s how many times you need to go to a park in order to break even on your Disney World annual pass:
- Incredi-Pass ($1,449) = 11 days
- Disney Sorcerer Pass ($999) = 8 days
- Disney Pirate Pass ($799) = 6 days
- Disney Pixie Dust Pass ($439) = 4 days
Technically you can break even a lot quicker if you factor in purchasing a ticket with Park Hopper, buying Lightning Lanes and Single Passes, and paying for parking.
But for this example, I decided to use only non-Park Hopper prices only mainly because not everyone will buy Genie+ or pay for parking.
How I Got These Numbers
On average, a 1-Day Disney World park ticket without Park Hopper costs $144 each.
I decided to use the non-Park Hopper ticket price because I personally feel that most out of state visitors will do one park a day.
How Many Vacations Would It Take?
I feel that if you live outside of Florida and are not a DVC Member, but you vacation in Disney World often, it will take around 2 or 3 individual vacations consisting of 4 park days to break even on an Incredi-Pass.
And if you are a Disney Vacation Club Member that owns a Sorcerer Pass, it will take you 8 park days.
What’s a Better Deal: Annual Pass or Multi-Day Tickets?
I feel that most guests will opt for a 4-day ticket with Park Hopper.
A 4-Day Ticket with Park Hopper costs around $641 per adult and $624 per cild on average.
So if you are visiting Disney World for 4 days, it is technically cheaper to get the Pixie Dust Pass if you’re a Florida resident since you’ll break even on your first vacation.
And if you have the Pirate or Sorcerer Pass, you will need around 2 separate vacations or at least 6 minimum park days to break even.
Now if you’re out of state and but visit Disney World at least 3 times a year, then the Incredi-Pass is a better deal, especially if you go to a park at least 11 individual times.
But that’s only half of it…
Because owning an annual pass will provide you with a ton of money saving perks such as free parking, discount at restaurants, up to 20% off on select merchandise, as well as seasonal access to any special AP deals and promotions.
