Did you know that you can book a split stay at any Disney World hotel? It’s true!
Basically what that means is that you are staying at one of more Disney hotels during your vacation, and instead of having to lug your suitcases from hotel to hotel, the Bell Services will transfer it to the next hotel, free of charge.
How It Works
- Book two or more hotel reservations at a Disney-owned hotel
- After you complete your first hotel stay, gather your bags and have Bell Service pick them up for you
- Make sure you tell Bell Services that you are doing a Split Stay and they’ll ask you what hotel you’re heading to next
- They’ll give you a ticket for all your bags
- Now, all you have to do is either make your way to the next hotel or head to the parks and enjoy your day
- Once you get to the next hotel, just present the Bell Services with your ticket and they’ll deliver your luggage to your room, if your room is ready
What’s the point of doing this?
There’s a couple of reasons why a split stay might be a good idea:
- the hotel you like is sold out for a duration of your trip
- you want to experience multiple hotels during your vacation
- you want to splurge for a couple nights at a Deluxe and spend the rest of the time at a Value
For me, if I wanted to enjoy the pool or spa for a couple days at a nicer hotel, then I’ll make sure to plan my non-park days at the fancier hotel. Then when it’s strictly park days, I’ll stay at a cheaper spot mainly because I’ll never be in the room. That’s the way I look at it.
How to Book
Technically, there is not an option to book a Split Stay on the Disney World website, nor can you combine multiple reservations and mark them as a Split Stay.
Instead, you’ll have to book two or more separate hotel reservations.
