Disneyland Ticket Price Chart for the Year
Disneyland tickets are the cheapest on Wednesday from late-August to mid-September.
Here is a chart I put together showing the average prices for a 1-Day Park Hopper Ticket on Wednesdays.
Saturday tickets will generally follow the same pattern as Wednesday’s but will be more expensive, on average.
Cheapest Times to Stay at Disneyland Hotels
There are currently three hotels on Disney property – Grand Californian, Disneyland Hotel, and Pixar Place Hotel.
The cheapest times to stay at a Disney hotel are from late-August to early-September, regardless of which hotel you choose.
Here are the average room rates for the second half of the year, to give you an idea of how the prices change.
Note: I labeled the Pixar Place hotel as Paradise Pier by accident.
Cheapest Day to Buy Genie+
The cheapest day to buy Genie+ at Disneyland is Friday, with an average price of $27.
The most expensive day is Saturday.
Cheapest Time to Go to Oogie Boogie Bash
Oogie Boogie Bash is generally the cheapest on the first few Tuesdays of September.
As long as you avoid opening day, most of the tickets will be at their cheapest during the entire month of September.
Most Expensive Dates to Go to Disneyland
Regardless of the time of year you visit, Saturday will always be the most expensive day of the week.
Here are the most expensive days, weeks, and weekends to visit Disneyland and California Adventure:
- 1/1 = New Year’s Day
- 1/13 – 1/15 = Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend
- 2/17 – 2/24 = Presidents Day Week
- 3/29 – 4/7 = Easter and Spring Break Week
- 3/31 = Easter
- 5/24 – 5/27 = Memorial Day Weekend
- 7/1 – 7/7 = 4th of July Week
- 8/30 -9/3 = Labor Day Weekend
- 11/25 – 12/1 = Thanksgiving Week
- 12/16 -12/31 = Christmas Week and New Year’s Eve
Here’s a little more detail about each of the bad times to visit:
- Orange County Spring Break: park tickets will be expensive, parks will be busy, and all of the Disneyland hotels will be sold out
- Easter: very busy and expensive, and Genie+ will probably sell out
- Mid to Late October: Weekends are very expensive
- Christmas: as busy and expensive as it gets
- New Years: as busy and expensive as it gets
Other busy and expensive holidays include Labor Day, Memorial Day, Presidents Day weekends, MLK Jr. Day, and 4th of July week.
Do not visit during these times if you’re on a tight budget.
Do Food and Drink Prices Fluctuate?
Nope.
Unlike park tickets whose price fluctuates depending on demand and time of year, food and drink prices stay the same during the entire year.
Honestly, the only thing that could happen is a park-wide increase on food and drinks prices, just like what happened a couple years ago.
Unfortunately, you’ll never see food and drinks at Disneyland get any cheaper…
And if you wanted to figure out how much you wanted to spend on food and drinks, I got you covered.
One Last Thing
Regardless of when you visit, the most important thing is to always stay up to date with any upcoming promotions and deals that you can take advantage of to get discounted tickets and cheaper room rates.
Just keep this official Disneyland offers page bookmarked so you never miss a deal.
