Disneyland is weirdly one of the few parks where I never feel guilty being lazy at, especially since we have to travel cross country just to get to it.
And to be honest, I love that.
How to have a lazy Disneyland trip
Here’s my lazy guide to Disneyland and California Adventure for any of you who don’t mind spending more time chilling, drinking, and eating, with just a few rides sprinkled in here and there.
1. Get Genie+
I’m not a big Genie+ person but I still buy it avoid the long longs at some of the rides like the Incredicoaster or Space Mountain.
2. Go on super slow days
The slowest time of the year at Disneyland with some of the lowest crowds is from mid-January through February, excluding weekends.
Also, the best day of the week to go to Disneyland with the shortest wait times is Thursday and for California Adventure it’s Friday.
3. ALWAYS Mobile Order your food and drinks
I truly hate waiting in line for food and drinks, so if a spot has Mobile Order, I will always order my food, drinks, and snacks ahead of time.
Plus, it’s an easier way to get my Magic Key discount automatically applied.
4. Eat and drink more, ride way less
The amount of times I’ve been to Disneyland and only rode one or two rides (or even none) is astonishing, especially during those California Adventure food festivals.
5. Do a VIP Tour
If it makes sense for you financially, then doing a VIP tour is the best way to ride as many rides as possible, all while getting the best seats in the house for the fireworks or World of Color with little to no planning necessary.
But it will cost you at least $500 an hour with a 7 hour minimum.
6. Buy Individual Lightning Lane Selections
The only ride worth paying for at Disneyland is Radiator Springs Racers.
…
Hope this helps you have a chill Disneyland trip.
